CACIB Podgorica will be held on Saturday 19th September and is fallowed by CAC Kotor on Sunday 20th September. By winning 2 CACs in any class or 2 Youth Winner nominations the dog becomes a Champion of Montenegro or a Junior Champion of Montenegro. On December 7th a working trial for pointers at the rock partridge was organized but there was no bag this time, either. Thirteen dogs took part and the trials were judged by Mr. Damjan Damjanovic and Mr. Momo Milic both days. Although there were no placements, it did not affect the atmosphere since a festive dinner was organized for the participants and the club members in the restaurant "Pricelje". The awards were given at this occasion but it is already announced at our website. This festive dinner marked the end of this season which was extremely successful. Having in mind that we maintained and formed de novo the club, committees, Managing Board, started the website, prepared and held the CACIB with the biggest number of enrolled dogs ever, games of pointers, the parade of ‘Sarplaninac’ dogs and hunting cup at snipes is certainly something amazing which has been done for six months and is more than what had been done for ten years before that. I have to say that I am very proud of my great friend who, on my initiative, took the obligation to be the President of the Kennel Club "Podgorica", Mr Damjan Damjanovic. He overtook the greatest burden of all and he had been unjustifiably neglected and put away by those who should not have done such thing on any circumstances. Montenegrin cynology needs this man, and those like him, because we can improve and go further only with them.
We shall not stop at this stage, this club will be the home for all those that love cynology and wish to help, who will take care about its members that make it worthy, no matter whether they are old or young and they will not be forgotten. I would like to announce something else. Those who want to obstruct can do whatever they like, but this club is doomed to success because there are enough people here and we shall not let them destroy whatever we do, because we do it for the benefit of all cynologists of Podgorica and Montenegro.
We, as somebody who is the part of the Kennel Club of Montenegro, will comply with all their regulations and I say it openly because it is our mother club and we shall build the best possible relation with the people who lead the Club because we have obligations towards ourselves and the cynology to act in this manner. But, since we are the biggest kennel club in our country, and we plan to become the best, as well, and much bigger than the borders of our country because cynology does not recognize borders. The problems which existed on the relation between the Kennel Club Podgorica and Kennel Club of Montenegro do not exist any more.
I have to say that the Club of Sarplaninac dogs showed at its best and I hope that the others will take their example, too. The parade left me without words and I am delighted and they will certainly have our support in all further steps which they will take.
I wish to thank all those who supported us financially and helped us to achieve all that we had in mind. I would also like to thank the municipality bodies who let us use the field for the dog shows and many thanks for the Hunting club for the games.
There were also some mistakes, but we have experience for the next year not to repeat them. To all our members, dog lovers and all those who read our pages, I wish Happy New Year and Merry Christmas and successful cynology season and to spend the holiday in happiness.
On December 6th the Club organized the working trial "The hunter and the dog Cup" and 10 dogs enrolled. The weather was bad, but the atmosphere among the competitors was nice. There was no placement.
